On October 25th, I had the privilege of going to Petros Joyner School to speak with 1st through 6th grade students concerning litter. All of the students did an excellent job answering questions on how to keep Morgan County beautiful. The students expressed to me that they are pitching in at school and placing the litter in the right bins. All of the classes were very respectful during the time I was talking and had many questions throughout the presentation. One girl knew all about litter and she mentioned to me that she studies it in her free time! At the conclusion of my presentation the students received pencils, erasers, stickers, coloring sheets and an activity book. We all had a great time and the students learned so much!

I had the privilege to visit with the Seniors of Morgan County on October 19th at their Annual Fall Festival they held at the Sunbright Senior Citizens Building. I had the opportunity to speak with them about the litter problems that exist in our county and encourage them to recycle and to help keep Morgan County beautiful. Morgan County Executive Don Edwards attended the festival and was asked to pray and bless the food. We had a great time together and we all enjoyed the fellowship.

On September 8th, I had the privilege of going to Oakdale School to share my litter presentation to the 3rd grade students. I was asked several questions concerning litter from the class. One question was asked by a student, "How long it takes different items to decompose", the students received bags at the conclusion of my presentation with pencils, erasers, stickers and a brochure encouraging them to pick up litter. I asked the students what they could do to keep Morgan County litter free and the students had some great answers, one student provided the entire class with a great suggestion. The student said, "We can start in our yard with our families, then when everyone sees us picking up trash they will join and eventually the community will join in and it will all be picked up". The 3rd grade received green drawstring bags that say "Stop Litter" for the two in each class that had the best ideas, we had an awesome time together.
